Well it's a new year and I only updated my blog a few times last year. Ooops! I am sure it is because at work I am typing all day long and then don't feel up for it later on, and Saskatoon was pretty boring last year! Since we have so many new things going on I have decided try again for the sake of keeping track of time and memories! :) Here are a few things that are new with Jared and I...
We are having a baby GIRL at the end of April! We cannot wait to meet her and start our family! She is due right around the same time as Jared's final exams for his first year in dental so I guess we can only hope for the best timing :) I am getting another ultrasound on February 3 to see her again and see if she is still developing at a good rate. When we went last time I was just under 20 weeks so they wanted me to come back again a few months later, which I will not complain about because I get to see her(if it still is a she). She is moving around soo much, especially lately. I will be 28 weeks on Monday! :) She is for sure keeping Mom awake at night but I guess it is just better preparing me for motherhood. :)
We are loving Saskatoon! Getting to know more people and making new friends. Jared loves his dental class. They are all SOOO NICE! It hasn't even been that cold here for the past few weeks which has been wonderful! I am teaching Primary ages 8 and 9 and I love them! They know so much about the gospel and I am learning so much from them. We have an amazing ward out here. It feels like a little family. Jared is teaching Elder's quorum and just got called as the first counselor in the Sunday school.
We just got new carpet in our house so we have been busy busy moving things back and forth...which has pretty much just been Jared since I am little to no help with the heavy lifting :)
EXCITING NEWS!
We just found out yesterday that Jared got accepted into the Canadian Army in the Dental Officer Training Program!!!!!!!! We don't know too many details about it yet but that he is "starting" in the next couple of weeks and gets sworn into the Canadian Army next week! Basically what we mostly know is that Jared will get his dentistry schooling paid for fully from here on out (3 years) and he will be getting paid a monthly wage on top of that, which is a major blessing and will be super helpful for starting our new family. We have yet to find out if he has to go for basic training this summer for 8 weeks. YAYYYY! I am so proud of him. He has worked so hard and is such a smarty! So we will see what happens with everything.
We are moving home again to Alberta for the summer in 3 months! This school year has gone by so fast!
I am still keeping busy working at the RUH Hospital doing transcription for Pediatric Neurology and love it. The physician I work for (Dr. Hasal) is a dream and super sweet. I basically work my own hours whenever I want and how long I want, which has been super nice during this pregnancy and working around going home to visit. Still working a lot though! If I stay at home during the day I go crazy in the winter :) I have been super sick with migraines and have had to do a lot of prenatal testing, but everything has worked out great. Jared has been such a great help, especially with how busy he has been with school.
We are really looking forward to the summer and baby getting here! My belly is growing growing! I will have to do a belly bump picture soon! That's all for now! ;)
